Educational institutions in European countries offer many possibilities and a variety of study programs to the Elderly. There are still some reserves and shortcomings in focusing on these possibilities and on finding the optimal conditions for formal, non-formal and informal learning. The EduSenNet project seeks to indentify both the specific needs of older learners aged above 50 and the conditions under which they learn. The project examins the extent of possible innovations, how they might be undertaken and for which target groups.

Idenitification of optimal learning environments can assist us in program innovation not only in urban areas but also for specific communities in rural areas.
